Catherine Zeta-Jones, on the cover of this week's People magazine, hopes her confession that she has Bipolar II disorder will help other sufferers of the illness.
She revealed earlier this month she was being treated for the condition, also known as manic depression and her wish is her decision to go public with her struggle will help other people.
She tells People magazine, "If my revelation of having Bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help, then it is worth it. There is no need to suffer silently and there is no shame in seeking help."
