You have seen this photo all over Facebook, but have you read what it's about? Let's do what we can to stop bullying.
Paula - A teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stamp on it and really mess it up but do not rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty is was. She then told them to tell it they’re sorry. ...Now even though they said ......they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bully’s another child, they may say they’re sorry but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Please spread this around and ask everyone you know to share this story, let's do our part to try to stop bullying!

Too late for me, but it isn't too late for other kids. No one, kid or adult deserves to go through when I went throug, or what others go through.
This reminds me of that old commercial that showed an egg and a voice saying "This is your brain". The egg is cracked and dropping in a hot pan to fry. A voice says "This is your brain on drugs - any questions?" So simple yet so effective. Often the simply things stay in the minds of people. Hopefully this simple piece of paper can help change the tide.
It's a great example, but I fear it won't get through to the actual bullies. The anti-bullying movement is great, but it's too bad that the policy's are not being enforced. The kids wear pink for a day, but don't learn anything. Lunches are still being stollen on anti-bully day by kids wearing the pink shirts. It's sad.
One of the best examples I've seen. Thank you so much for sharing.
