Is she a greedy girlfriend?

We received this e-mail from Marcus this morning.....what do you think then answer our Question of the Day.

Morning people! What’s up? I am loving you guys this morning! So check this out. My girl has just informed me that I better have spent at least $500.00 dollars on her this Christmas or she is returning all my gifts! She is out of her mind! I mean come on? That’s not what Christmas is about! I told her she is being selfish and inconsiderate, but she said that she deserves to be treated like a princess. I love her, but what should I do?

What does it take to be truly happy?

HOW TO BE HAPPY:

What does it take to be truly happy? A panel of experts (including a psychologist, a psychotherapist, an entrepreneur, an economist, and 2 workplace specialists) have worked together to come up with a 10-point plan. Do all of these things regularly and they promise you'll soon be smiling ...Fairly obvious stuff but always good to be reminded.

• Plant something and nurture it.• Count your blessings – at least 5 – at the end of each day.• Take time to talk. Have an hour-long conversation with a loved one each week.• Phone a friend with whom you have not spoken for a while and arrange to meet up.• Give yourself a treat every day and take the time to really enjoy it.• Have a good laugh at least once a day.• Get physical. Exercise for an half-an-hour 3 times a week.• Smile at and/or say hello to a stranger at least once each day.• Cut your TV viewing by half.• Spread kindness. Do a good turn for someone every day.– BBC News

• Babysitter ... 1 evening's pay plus small gift from the child.
• Child's Teacher ... Gift (but check school's policy to see if it's allowed).
• Courier ...$15-$25 (if you get regular deliveries).
• Daycare Providers ... $25-$70 each plus small gift from the child.
• Dog Walker ... Cost of 1 session.• Gardener ... $20-$50.
• Hairdresser ... Cost of 1 cut (or $20-$100) if you go frequently, plus a small gift.
• Housekeeper ... 1 week's pay or more (depending on length of service).
• Mail Carrier ... Gifts under $20 (normally not allowed to accept cash).

Dear Breakfast Club,

My boyfriend and I have been dating for two years now. Last Christmas I made no secret of the fact that I wanted a watch for Christmas. He got me a hamster. I hate the hamster. It’s a wonder it’s not dead. Do you want it? How do I make sure I don’t get another completely inappropriate Christmas gift this year?

The Thrill of the Hunt

This one could take a team of psyhchologists years to answer. Maybe you could help in a much shorter time-span. This is an email that was in our in-box this morning. Can you help her out?

Dear Brad, Peter and Moya,

My gal pals and I have a motto about men: Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen. Ok, so we're not mean exactly, but guys do seem to love the challenge of the hunt, and if we ladies give in too easily, too soon, they're turned off. Why is this so? And why do men lose interest once they "win" the game?

Signed,
The Hunted?

Ways to SAVE During the Holidays !?

Not only do 'things' seem to be getting more expensive, but the holiday season takes budgeting, saving, and cutting corners. How are you going to make ends meet this year? What are some of your ideas to help spend less? .... (or use less credit! eeeek!) THIS holiday season.
------------

Check your list, and check it twice. If your gift list keeps getting longer and pricier, it’s time for creative rethinking. At the office, suggest a cookie swap instead of a gift swap. Give family group gifts instead of individual ones. And make a list before you shop - and stick to it.

Decorate with what you have. Instead of impulse buys, check your holiday stash before you head to the store for decorations. Reuse what you have in different ways - you might not have to buy new lights after all.

Keep a holiday cash stash. This year, resolve to pay for gifts using paper money instead of credit cards. Using a credit card makes you prone to spending up to 50% more.

Do it yourself. Homemade gifts are huge money savers - and are always a hit.

Be a smart shipper. If you mail gifts to relatives, buy all the items for one household through a site offering free shipping, as many retailers do during November, and ship them direct.

Don’t throw away money on wrapping paper. Even if your craft-phobic, it’s painless to make your own gift wrap. Buy a cheap roll of "Brown Paper", tie on a ribbon and write your holiday message with a sharpie on the wrapping.

Buy hostess gifts in bulk. If you have a lot of parties to attend, early in the season order a case of wine. Leave the box in the garage so you always have a perfect hostess gift on hand - and you’ll save a couple of bucks a bottle.

Streamline your card routine. Update, organize, and number your address list so you know exactly how many boxes of holiday cards to buy. Guesswork often leads to surplus cards you’ll never use.

IS IT LAME THAT A GUY ASKED ME OUT . . . BY TEXT MESSAGE???
I met a guy I really like two weeks ago, and since then he's called me a few times, and we've been texting each other a lot.
--The other day he finally asked me out. But there was one problem: He did it in a TEXT MESSAGE.
--He said that he wanted to hang out sometime this week. I told him I was all for it . . . and that he could call me later.
--Is it lame that he basically asked me out in a text message? Was it because he was nervous? Or is that an acceptable way to do things these days?

What Your Favourite Dessert Says About your Personality

- Angel Food
- Brownies
- Lemon Meringue
- Vanilla Cake/Chocolate Icing
- Strawberry Short Cake
- Chocolate Cake/Chocolate Icing
- Ice Cream
- CarrotCake

OK - Now that you've made your choice, this is what Research says about you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Angel food - Sweet, loving, cuddly. You love all warm and fuzzy items. A little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice cream cone at the end of the day. Others perceive you as being childlike and immature at times.

Brownies - You are adventurous, love new ideas, are a champion of underdogs and slayer of dragons. When tempers flare up, you whip out your saber. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of humor and direction. You tend to be very loyal.

Lemon Meringue -Smooth, sexy, & amp; articulate with your hands, you are an excellent after-dinner speaker and a good teacher. But don't try to walk and chew gum at the same time. A bit of a diva at times, but you have many friends.

Vanilla Cake/Chocolate Icing - Fun-loving, sassy, humorous. Not very grounded in life; very indecisive and lack motivation. Everyone enjoys being around you, but you are a practical joker. Others should be cautious in making you mad. However, you are a friend for life.

Carrot Cake -You are a very fun loving person, who likes to laugh. You are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you. You are a very warm hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many loyal friends.

Howlin' Good Tips for Your Companion Animal

Halloween is coming up and we have prepared some tips for kids, parents and dog owners to help keep kids and dogs safe this Halloween. Changes in routine and the strange sights and sounds associated with Halloween can cause stress in a normally placid family dog. Keep dogs out of the fray by securing them away from door and providing a long-lasting chew treat. Teach kids to Be a Tree and stand still if any dogs come near them on Halloween. Halloween is lots of fun for kids, but many dogs will be confused or upset by kids in strange costumes and by lots of people coming to the door, but never being invited in. Doggone Safe offers the following tips for dog owners, kids and parents:

1. Secure your dog behind a closed door or in a crate in a room away from the front door or the party if children are meeting at your house.
2. Give him a juicy bone from the butcher, a sterilized bone or Kong stuffed with hotdog, Rollover or other soft dog treats or a pre-stuffed bone from the pet store.
3. Play music or leave a TV or radio playing in the dog's room to help mask the sounds of the activity at the front door.
4. Close drapes so that the dog does not see people coming and going through the window.
5. If you have a dog that barks at the sound of the doorbell, disconnect it or watch for trick-or-treaters so that they do not have to ring or knock.
6. Puppies and dogs that like to chase can get overly excited by costumes with dangly bits or streaming material. Supervise very carefully if you have a dog that may try to play with your children's costumes while they are wearing them. Teach kids to Be a Tree and stand still if the dog does start nipping at their costume since the more they move, the more exited the dog will get.
Keep your dogs (and cats) indoors around Halloween time. Pets have been stolen, injured or poisoned as part of Halloween pranks or other rituals.
(excerpt from Trainer Sue at TheChewedSlipper.com)

Yesterday's Question of the Day results.

Yesterday we asked what age you think children should stop trick or treating. The results were pretty close, 28% siad 14 years old, 26% said 13 years old, 23% siad 16 years old 18% said 12 years old and 5% said 15 years old.

Least Favourite Halloween Treats

Terrible Halloween Treats

1) ToothbrushesDentists and orthodontists should not be allowed to celebrate Halloween if they're going to get all tooth doctory on us. Do not bring your work home with you, folks!

2) RaisinsLittle boxes of stuck-together shriveled globs are not what little kids schlep around the neighborhood for all night. When they say trick-or-treat, they want candy that will rot their teeth, not wrinkled grapes.

3) Candy CornThe most polarizing candy of all. The fruitcake of Halloween; it just never goes away.

4) ApplesThis disappointing "treat" is the main reason to avoid unwrapped food while trick-or-treating.

5) Tootsie RollsIt looks like chocolate and sort of smells like chocolate, but the mini brown tubes are not real chocolate.

What was you least favourite treat to get when you were a kid?

Living On A Mean Street

Here's an article from today's Chronicle Herald regarding a by-law complaint against a family in Clayton Park. Have a look and let's talk about it..

He’s fighting pirates off the coast of Somalia; she’s walking the plank on a cul-de-sac in Clayton Park.

At least one of Christine Dickinson’s neighbours on Trillium Terrace has complained to the city’s bylaw enforcement department about where Ms. Dickinson leaves her green cart and the length of the grass on her front lawn.

“They called and basically complained that my premises were unsightly," said Ms. Dickinson, whose husband, Chris, is the captain of HMCS Ville de Quebec.

The Halifaxbased frigate is protecting food shipments destined for Somalia.

“I’d move tomorrow if I could. Am I supposed to be run out of this neighbourhood because my yard is not maintained to the standards to which my neighbours think it should be?" Ms. Dickinson said, describing the neighbourhood as “snotty."

“Maybe I should start hanging my underwear across the front of the house and see what happens."

Ms. Dickinson describes her lawn as “a little uncared for, but the grass isn’t waist-high.

I refuse to spray my lawn illegally, so yeah, I have weeds . . . which makes me wonder about how their weed-free lawn is being maintained."

A bylaw officer left a note telling her there was no violation, but to keep the lawn maintained and remove the green cart from the bottom of the driveway.

“My green bin wasn’t illegally on city property. It was just at the bottom of my driveway. My driveway’s vertical. It was just a lot easier to access there."

Ms. Dickinson doesn’t know which neighbour dropped a dime on her.

“There are quite a few of them who are very well-off, they are retired, they have their landscaping company, their lawns are impeccable," she said. “But I know that they know that my husband’s in the military. . . . They know he’s gone all the time."

Cmdr. Chris Dickinson’s ship left Halifax in July for a six-month deployment, leaving his wife holding the, well, lawnmower. The front lawn is too steep for her 16-year-old son to mow, she said.

“It’s a hill with a retaining wall at the bottom," Ms. Dickinson said. The Quebec native is feeling overwhelmed with her husband at sea.

“I have no family. I’m all on my own. It’s not like he’s just off doing some little tour somewhere. He’s actually in the most dangerous shipping lanes in the world. I’ve got two teenagers. I work. I travel some for my work. I’m not very big. I do not have big muscles and I am just finding it really tough to try to maintain this big, huge house without really any help."

It was “insulting" for a neighbour to complain to the city, “as if I’m just being lazy," said Ms. Dickinson, who misses the family’s former neighbourhood in Dartmouth, where she said people lent a hand when her husband was deployed.

She’s called a landscaping company for an estimate on how much a fall cleanup would cost. But the French translator resents the potential expense.

“I work freelance, so cash flow is irregular, shall we say."

Coun. Debbie Hum (Rockingham- Wentworth) said she wished the city’s bylaw officers would be as diligent in addressing some of the more serious concerns in her district.

“I’ve got a few properties that are derelict, with garbage and household goods left (outside)," Ms. Hum said.

“It’s unfortunate that perhaps her neighbours aren’t speaking to her directly to just express their concer ns, rather than call the bylaw offices. Sometimes that’s all you need."

The city’s 10 bylaw officers are sometimes forced to deal with situations in which neighbours don’t communicate, said Tanya Phillips, manager of bylaw services.

“That’s, unfortunately, (one) of the things that we end up dealing with," Ms. Phillips said.

Is butting out littering?

Here is a question, sent to our e-mail, from one of our listeners.

Take a look and let us know what you think?

I take Exit 2 into work every day and am amazed at the number of cigarette butts lying on the roadside. I don't understand why smoker's don't find it acceptable to butt them in their vehicle ashtray, but appear to think it's perfectly fine to toss them out the window for all to see, and for someone else to clean up (IE: Community Service / Public Works).

My question(s) do other people find this as mind boggling and offensive as me? Is tossing cigarette butts out the window littering? If yes, should offenders be fined?

Thanks,Janet

Freshman 15 tips

College freshmen have a special notoriety: A full 15 pounds named for them.

The Freshman 15 refers to weight gained during the first year away from home. But the extra pounds can be avoided if you follow these tips from Brook Benten Jimenez. She's a certified group fitness instructor, personal trainer and nutritionist.

Her tips will work for everyone, even if your freshman year was so long ago that you scarcely remember how many pieces of pizza you ate to win a nightly dorm contest.

1. Ix-nay on late-night acking-snay: Pizza can be delivered at all hours. And having just a slice – well, maybe just two – when everyone else is noshing is more than tempting. But if you must stay up late and are hungry, reach for fruit or something healthy. Which leads us to ...

2. Get enough sleep. "Sleep loss is associated with an increase in appetite," Ms. Jimenez says. "Without adequate amounts of sleep, your metabolism slows down and you tend to move slower and be less active."

3. Make exercise part of your juggling routine. You have lots of balls in the air: Classes, study, socializing. Exercise needs to go on the calendar, too. Even if it is just 20 minutes a day.

4. Be on portion patrol. Lots of dorms offer all-you-can-eat, help-yourself buffets. Don't get carried away; there will be more food at the next meal. Allow yourself one reasonable plate of food.

5. Be mindful. "Remember: Everything you eat has to go somewhere," Ms. Jimenez says. "Every morsel of food has calories, and those calories don't disappear after melting in your mouth." The food may be used as energy or released as bile or used for cell function or stored as fat. "But it does not disappear."

A Complaint Free World!

Here's an email we received recently. We're giving it a try. If you decide to do the same, let us know how it goes.

acomplaintfreeworld.org

Good morning!

I just wanted to let you guys know about this fantastic idea a man in the States had. He has started a complaint-free movement. It is a very simple idea with a very simple solution. You wear a bracelet and every time you catch yourself complaining, gossiping, or criticizing, you switch it to the other wrist. This includes talking, emailing, muttering under your breath, etc. The only thing that is 'free' is thinking the complaint, gossip, and critism. The goal is to go 21 days IN A ROW without complaining, gossiping, or criticizing. He says it takes an average of 4-8 months to go the 21 days. I've been doing it now for two weeks and it is amazing how it has started to change my thinking. I rarely try to 'one-up' people with my complaints, and I tend to catch myself before the complaint comes out of my mouth. I haven't made it one complete day yet without complaining, but I complain a lot less than I used to.

Check out his website (I've included it at the top of this email) for more info on it. You don't have to buy the book or the bracelets, just watch the videos about it and find something that you can move from wrist to wrist, or pocket to pocket, or whatever. He is hoping to have the day before Thanksgiving designated as a national complaint-free day in the States, and I think it would be fitting if we could try to get that going here.

Signed,
An avid listener - love you guys! You make my mornings.

Atlantic Canadian Wealth

The following news story offers some food for thought. Feel free to leave a comment.

HALIFAX - A new study on debt, financial security and the wealth gap in Atlantic Canada suggests things have grown worse for the region's poor over the past decade. The GPI Atlantic report says there is a very uneven distribution with the richest 10 per cent of Atlantic households owning about half the region's wealth while the poorest 40 per cent together own only 3.6 per cent.
The authors say one-quarter of Atlantic Canadian households have no wealth at all, since their debts, on average, are at least as great as their assets.
The region has at least 11,000 millionaire households. The study says there's also an ongoing shift of wealth out of the region with households in Atlantic Canada experiencing the fastest growth in debt in Canada during the six-year period between 1999 and 2005. Consumer bankruptcies have also risen sharply in the region to levels much higher than in the rest of the country.

The Most Overrated Movies

According to the website listverse.com, these are the top 5 overrated movies of all time. We want your opinion. Feel free to add to the list. What you name as the most overrated movie of all time. In the meantime, here's what the website has to day.

#1.) "Apocalypse Now" (1979): "Terribly acted, stilted, and somehow managed to be ludicrously over dramatic without any drama. Yet this movie is widely considered one of the 100 best of all time and is lauded for its star power."
#2.) "Clerks" (1994): "There were sections of this film that were hilarious, but there were twice as many that weren't funny at all. This was an impressive independent film, but nothing that should have achieved the near epic status it enjoys."
#3.) "Titanic" (1997): "A long and boring soap opera without good acting. Flat cardboard characters, and the all time cliché of a tragic love story between two star-crossed lovers."
#4.) "Chicago" (2002): "This was an entertaining picture, but Best Picture? Really? . . . This film was fun if you like a musical, but it's hardly a best picture."
#5.) "Shakespeare in Love" (1998): "Keep in mind that this was the movie that kicked the butt of 'Saving Private Ryan', 'Dark City', 'American History X', and 'The Big Lebowski' all around the awards shows.

A listener looks for advice from you

We received this email from Tracey this morning. She needs your help.

Hey guys,

Where's Moya? I have a question. I just finished my undergrad degre at Dalhousie and am going to grad school in the fall. I need a place to live near campus. My guy friend and his friend need a third roommate to lower their costs. I will have my own room, of course. I want to live with them, but I'm engaged. My fiancé will be leaving for UNB and is 4 and 1/2 hours away. He says it's out of the question to live with guys. What do you and your listeners think?

Fireworks Sale Ban

The city councillor for Fairview Clayton Park wants to see a ban on the sale of fireworks in the HRM. Russel Walker plans to ask council to have staff draw up a bylaw proposal that would ban the sale of fireworks within city limits. Walker says it's a safety issue and he says he has received many calls from people complaining about fireworks being set off at all hours of the day and night. And, although fireworks can't be legally sold to people under the age of 18, Walker says young people are getting their hands on them.

Care to comment? Is a ban going to far? Are you tired of hearing fireworks in your neighbourhood?

Yesterday's Batman Poll

Too Young For Batman

Here's an email we received on the weekend. Care to comment?

"Consider this. You've paid $10 for the ticket to see The Dark Knight, $10 for the popcorn and you've threaded your way to the seat your friends have been fighting to save for you. You get settled to enjoy the movie, one you've been dying to see. Then it happens -- the crying baby, the kid asking their parents questions, the foot kicking your chair.
Isn't this a PG rated movie? Isn't it past their bedtime? It seems like no curfew is necessary when parents are bringing their kids to adult movies.
Where are the boundaries? There are adults' films and kids' films. I never consider having a drink and going to see Hannah Montana with a theater full of tween-age girls because that would be inappropriate. It is equally inappropriate to bring a small child and expect that they will understand or appreciate the film they are seeing.
So what does a parent do when they want to see The Dark Knight? You consider that not every moviegoer is interested in being your babysitter. Leave the kids at home -- and, for that matter, think before you let your preteens go on their own.

Congratulations Americans! You are no longer the world’s most obnoxious tourists. Not even close. A survey of employees at some 4,000 European hotels reveals that the Chinese have taken over the #1 spot in this category, followed closely by Indians and French. They are all stereotyped as loud, argumentative, and cheap. The French are also reprimanded for unwillingness to attempt local languages and outright refusal to tip. On the other hand, the Japanese take top honors as most quiet, polite, and tidy tourists; followed by Germans, Brits, and Canadians.

10 Funny Flirting Fact from Match.com Magazine

1. Flirting is good for you
Studies show that people who flirt have higher white blood-

2. Think it ends at a little eye batting?
Hardly—all told, scientists say there are 52 “flirting signals” used by humans. Of these, the hair flip is the most common.

3. In some places, flirting is illegal
In Little Rock, AR, an antiquated law is still on the books warning that engaging in playful banter may result in a 30-day jail term. In New York City, another outdated law mandates that men may be fined $25 for gazing lasciviously at a female; a second conviction stipulates the offender wear a pair of blinders whenever he goes out for a walk.

4. Why wait for Happy Hour?
Lots of people get their flirt on during their morning commute. A full 62 percent of drivers have flirted with someone in a different vehicle while on the go, and 31 percent of those flirtations, it turns out, resulted in a date.

5. Flirting need not occur face to face
According to Pew Research, 40 percent of people who look for love online say they can easily flirt with someone via email or IM.

6. In the Victorian era, fans were the ultimate playful prop that could communicate all sorts of messages
A fan placed near the heart meant, You have won my love. A half-opened fan pressed to the lips suggested, You may kiss me. Hiding the eyes behind an open fan meant, I love you, while opening and closing the fan several times warned, You are cruel. Given how much a fan could come in handy, it’s a shame they ever invented air conditioning.

7. These days, cell phones do the flirting
In one survey, half of all mobile phone users have texted suggestive messages to keep things interesting while away from his or her amour.

8. Watch out, you can overdo it
According to the Social Issues Research Centre, the most common mistake people make when flirting is maintaining too much eye contact.

9. Sometimes, flirty gestures aren’t what they seem
Research has shown that men tend to routinely mistake friendly behavior for flirting.

10. Flirting is universal
A woman living in New York City and one in rural Cambodia may not have much in common, but when it comes to attracting a little attention, they both employ the very same move: smiling, arching their eyebrows, then averting their gaze and giggling. Animals flirt, too: Birds, reptiles, and even fish have their own ways of strutting their stuff. Moral of the story: If the simple sea bass can act cute to enhance a romantic agenda, you can, too—so give it a go!

New Music Friday

What do you think of the new Coldplay song (our New Music Friday song)...VIVA LA VIDA. Are you a Coldplay fan?

Friday the 13th

It's Friday the 13th. "So what? ", you ask. Well, a lot of people take this sort of thing very seriously. Consider this, More than 80% of hotels and high-rise buildings do not have a 13th floor. You hardly ever see the number 13 in an elevator. Athletes, who are notoriously superstitious, often ask for another number other than 13 on their jerseys. Many airports do not have a Gate 13. Hospitals regularly avoid having a Room 13. In Italy, they omit the number 13 from their national lottery. Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue. In France, socialites known as “quatorziens” (or “fourteeners”) once made themselves available to keep a dinner party from having 13 guests. The ill-fated Apollo 13 mission to the moon was launched on April 13th at 13:13 local time.

Here's the bottom line. What superstitions, if any, do you believe in.

Tips to help students get through end-of-year exams

Ten tips to help students learn:
1. Encourage students to master the material rather than "learn the material" or aim for a specific grade.
2. Do not focus on "passing the exam"; focus on the challenge of doing the exam well.
3. Do not focus on how your grade will make you look; focus on the material.
4. Do not focus on aspects of intelligence, smarts or stupidity; attend to how to do the task well.
5. Be realistic: if you do not like or understand the material, do not expect exceptional grades.
6. Try to avoid last-minute cramming; do a little every day to avoid the stress of mass studying.
7. Relaxation techniques other than diaphragmatic deep breathing will not work to settle a student down in an exam unless the student has been practising them for a long time.
8. Students with high anxiety should build in relaxation time the evening before an exam.
9. It's OK to be a perfectionist - but only if you're striving to improve yourself, not if you are striving to impress others or obtain a reward.
10. You cannot learn a difficult subject without proper self care, and that includes regular sleep.

Not Handy, Won't Kill Bugs

Dear C100 Breakfast Club

I've got a problem, or maybe it isn't a problem, I don't know.

My boyfriend isn't a man's man. And that's ok. I don't want him to be. He can't fix my car. He can barely hang a painting. But I just realized, he won't even kill a bug for me.

We had a big spider in our apartment the other day and he had me kill it.

Is that the line? I don't believe all men should be handy but shouldn't all men kill bugs for their girlfriends?

New Music Friday

What did you think of the new Fergie song, "Labels Or Love"? It's featured on the new Sex & The City Soundtrack, and was our New Music Friday song at 7:40 am.

How Do I Get Him To See “Sex and the City” with Me?

We just received this letter this morning. Got any good ideas for her?

Good morning guys, hope you can help me with this boyfriend problem. The problem is that I never get to pick the movie we go to see. I always end up watching some guy flick with a lot of explosions or bathroom humor which I don’t mind but sometimes I’d like to see a chick flick.

So this weekend the “Sex and the City” movie is being released and I want to go see it with him but he refuses. I think the main reason I want him to go with me is to see if he’ll do something I don’t want to do just to make me happy. Almost like a love test.

Shouldn’t he go if he loves me? How can I make him come see this movie with me? Is there an appropriate bribe out there?

Signed,

Sex and the City Fan

Things a woman should never do in front of a man

We got into this subject earlier this morning on the C100 Breakfast Club. Some of the things that came up: shave her armpits, wear "grannie panties". What do you think? Tell us some things a woman should never do around a man.

Backstreet Boys

So what do you think about the Backstreet Boys coming back to town? Kevin isn't with them anymore. It's been 15 years since they were "boys". Sidney is in trouble

Forgive me for talking sports but, come on, it's Sidney Crosby were talking about here. Sidney is in trouble. His Penguins lost 3-nothing last night and the Penguins are down 2 games to nothing. The Penguins are hoping to become the first team in 37 years to come back after losing the first two games of the N-H-L championship series on the road. Montreal last did it in 1971.

Those are some pretty big odds and the Penguins have shown no signs in games 1 or 2 that they're up to the task. The Penguins will likely win a few Stanley Cups in the years to come...but not this year. Don't get me wrong. If they do manage to come back, no one will be cheering louder than us but Detroit looks too good to beat.

What do you think?
