Elton John Tickets

So, how much would you be willing to pay for Elton John Tickets? We're hearing about people paying $900 to $1000 for a pair. Sound off here.

Isn't scalping tickets still illegal?? I think it's terrible that people who have no intention of going to a concert scoop up tickets and try to make a very large profit off of them. This takes tickets away from people who really want to go to the show. There were a lot of disapointed people who didn't get tickets and I'm sure the vast majority of them can't afford $1000.00 for two tickets.

I say NO TO SCALPERS!
Tickets were already priced too high to start with, it's insane to buy them from scalpers for even a few bucks higher than the actual value.
Reselling concert tickets is an ugly business. With all my love for music and Elton John, there is no way scalpers are getting a single cent from me. I will survive, will watch the concert on TV or put my favorite Elton John's CD on .. not a big deal.

I would only pay the $150.00 for tickets, I will not buy from a scalper. The prices of the tickets were to high to start with.

It really depends on how badly one wants to go. If you are going to spend that much, why not take a trip to see him at another venue. I was nearly one of those disappointed people on Friday and just barely got tickets. I was bounced off the website several times and out of the que. I would have been better off waiting in line at the Metro Centre. Ticket Atlantic was ill prepared for the online frenzy and I think alot of people had problems. I finally had to call. I have learned my lesson and will do it the old fashion way next time.

I would absolutely pay the money, if i had it. Perhaps if i forgo my mortgage payment for a month, i could afford to go to the concert, and even buy a t-shirt and dare i say it, a snack too?! It's insanity what people will pay to see a great artist. If you are one of the thousands (like me) who couldn't get a ticket, go home put on your stereo as loud as you can and be happy that you still have the money in your pocket.

I had no problem with the ticketatlantic website in getting tickets. I have learned from prior experience to be logged into the site in advance rather than waiting almost until the last minute to try to get in. I could have gotten more than 4 tickets and used an account for a family member or friend and sold them, but I have no interest in scalping or making money off tickets. I also don't think the original ticket price is way too much. For such an international megastar that is a standard price or in some cases below prices. I went to see George Michael in Toronto last week and my ticket cost $214. Well worth the money and all the extras it cost me to get there. I think Elton is worth just as much, but each person will set their own limits on what they are willing to spend or what they can afford.

Hey guys,
My sister and I were checking out kijiji to see how much scalpers were actually trying to rip off genuine Elton fans, and I stumbled across this one..... thought you might find it as "interesting" as I did. The seller is only looking for face value for the ticket, but there's just one "catch". Wonder how badly single women want to see the show......

**********************************

I have two tickets to Elton John (27th) and am only going to be needing one for myself. If there's a young lady out there, a real Elton John fan, then let's meet. At the very least, we'd know we have that in common.

The situation is as follows: I scrambled to get two tickets last week and this weekend it became obvious that I won't need the second ticket. It should have been more obvious to me before but I guess it wasn't. But this is the whole story.

Not particularly looking for anything too serious at this point yet one never knows how things may go. I'm 44, 6'2, obviously very fit and healthy, ridiculously busy career, no kids. We're still two months away from the concert so who knows what might develop. I think I'm a decent guy with a sense of humour, well-travelled and gentle; definitely not a creep.

If you're happy go lucky, smart and have loads of interests, then I'd like to hear from you now.

I'm a regular concert-goer - about 10 a year. My tickets for this event are floor tickets, by the way. Close to the stage. Nothing but the best! If this "works", what should we tell friends and family where/how we met?

This is a modified ad requesting 'real' responses only. All others will receive a form letter in return. Always polite.

I was lucky enough to get tickets for Friday night....on-line. I wish I had extra tickets....would I sell them? Sure I would, but not for one cent more than what I paid for them. I know WAY too many disappointed people who were not able to get tickets so if I had extras they would be offered to my friends first.
