Oh please 9 times out of 10 they get your order wrong.... seriously, the worst customer service in the world is found at a Tim's drive through. They are so busy talking to one another they cant even look at you when they pass you your coffee. Ugh so a tip for them... neg on that one.

Isn't the point of a tip for exceptional service? I don't find passing my coffee through a window especially exceptional. Especially when they tend to screw up your order AND rarely say "please" and "thank you".

I don't go to Tim's much, but generally leave a quarter tip when I get my order. Funny thing, since I heard this radio discussion I've been to Tim's twice and haven't tipped. It was the comments of the retail service person who really made me think about tipping. She was right .. I don't give a retail store clerk a cash tip, nor food and beverage representatives at most fast food locations (IE: McDonald's; Burger King, etc.). It make me think ... "Why tip at Tim's when they generally do less physical work than their min-wage counterparts in other employment positions."

So, sorry Tim's staff .. no more quarters from me for the coffee with cream and sugar when I ordered tea with milk.
