(1) This year's Run happens Sunday, September 30 at the Halifax South Commons. Final Registration/Donation Drop-off is at 8:00am, with the Run beginning at 10am.
(2) This year will be ULTRA family friendly, with a never before seen Kids Zone on the run site. (Adult supervision required - or at least highly suggested)
(3) Skyler, an amazing 6-year-old HRM resident who has been working hard to fundraise for this years event will be starting off this year's Run with a blowhorn!
(4) Some interesting updates on the Post-Secondary Challenge: As of (Friday Sept. 14) Dalhousie Nursing's "Breast Friends" team is ranked in the top 10 fundraising teams across the country, and Dalhousie itself is ranked the #3 institution thus far in terms of fundraising dollars across Canada! Fund raising is not an easy task. their are million of small, large commercial and bla bla many kind of companies and NGO present around the world every one is collecting funds for some reason. How we trust them, why we give them money.
But some companies play vital role and we see the result that yes these are really working. I am waiting for my company as well to take part in breast cancer awareness month and give discount and a part of their earning to those women who can't afford their treatment and mammogram.
