Director Steven Spielberg helms the epic film adaptation of 'War Horse,' based on Michael Morpurgo's children's book by the same name, and we have the first official trailer!
Set amidst the backdrop of World War I, 'War Horse' tells the story of a young farm boy named Albert (Jeremy Irvine), who befriends and tames a horse (naming it "Joey") only to have their bond shattered as the horse is sold into cavalry.
Albert follows Joey on an extraordinary journey through war-torn fields, trenches and battlefields in a quest to reunite and save his friend.
'War Horse' arrives in theaters this Christmas.

My Grandfather was in WW1 and the only thing he ever talked about was the fate of the horses and mules at the front. I doubt if this movie would match reality :(
I haven't even seen it yet and I was crying!
