Prince William and Kate arrived to huge crowds and boisterous cheers in Ottawa as they began their first official overseas tour since their wedding in April.
Their first stop was at the National War Memorial, where they were accompanied during a walkabout and wreath-laying ceremony by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The couple's next stop is an official welcome hosted by the prime minister and Governor General David Johnston before joining a youth barbecue on the grounds of Rideau Hall.
