I had sent this in but not sure if it went through.

My younger sister had been since she was in grade 4 and she is now going in grade 11. Almost everyday I see her come home upset or about to cry and I hear something new someone has said or done to her. She has a learning disability and has been picked on and lost friends over it. They always seem to find something new to spread around giving her a bad name. When she was skinny they called her anorexic, when she gained a bit more weight (still small) now she is fat and gross. It is hurtful to see someone you love get bullied almost everyday of their life. Even on facebook, they will post things and make rude comments where everyone can see. I HATE facebook now. She has been threaten, picked at, tripped, pushed and let down by former friends. And it is pretty sad when you go to speak to the parents of a bully and they just laugh and play along with their kid acting like them. Grow up you are the adult show your child it is wrong instead of backing them up. We have even gone to the schools but the action they take is very hush hush, especially when some of the bullies are the sports players or the real smart ones. They seem to just push it under the rug and hope it goes away. I even got in trouble for sticking up for my sister on facebook, because I was older then them and not the parent. Bullying seems to be getting worse each year, I just wish people would step back and take a look at what is going on around them.

Here is one of the times my sister was bullied right in front of me and my mother.

We were at one of the fairs that goes on in our town and my mother and I left my sister and her boyfriend walk around to see if they could find any friends. I saw a few of her bullies and started getting this bad feeling, so I told Mom that maybe we should go and find her to check in. I tried calling her but got no answer, then I got a txt saying help I am at such and such a place. Mom and I ran over as fast as we could to see the bullies all standing around my sister. The "head" bully lifted her fist and said to her " Oh I would love to punch you in your ugly face". She not realizing my Mother and I were right there. My Mom grabbed her and said I don't think so and gave her a little talking to. The bully made fun of Mom and ran off. Later we walk past the bully and her Mother. The Mother starts giving dirty looks towards us and through out the rest of the day she luaghed at us with her daughter and the daughter's friends. It made me sick to think a grown lady was doing this now as well.

I just want them to leave her alone, I do not want to loose my sister.

I am saddened after reading this letter. I was also bullied for most of my school years. It left me with low self confience and personal issues that still bother me years later. My 4 year old daughter just started grade primary this week and one of my biggest fear is my daughter being treated the same.
Be there for your sister. You and her are not alone. Personally, if the school will not do anything they are just as in the wrong as the person being the bully. Parents too.
Stay strong.
