Hi, Peter here from the C100 Breakfast Club with a quick
update on training for the Blue Nose Marathon.
I’m training for the half marathon and, other than a few aches and
pains, things are going great. This weekend’s long run will be 20 kilometers,
just one kilometer short of race weekend distance.
I started running
just over a year ago with an invitation to join a group called Team Myles. It’s
an ambassador program for the Blue Nose Marathon made up of mostly first-time
runners. We learned to run together and many of us continue to run together a
year later. This weekend, as Team Myles alumni, we’ve been invited to join this
year’s group of freshmen runners for a run. So, my day will start tomorrow at
7:30 am with a 10K run followed by another 10K run at 9 am with all of the Team
Myles folks.
