The world's most travelled spaceship is heading home after leaving the International Space Station for the last time.
Discovery is scheduled to return to Florida mid-week -- after which it will be retired and sent to the Smithsonian museum.
Actor William Shatner, who played Captain James Kirk on the original ``Star Trek'' T-V series, paid tribute to Discovery in a pre-recorded message this morning.
