Family members and NASA officials gathered at Cape Canaveral to commemorate the space shuttle disaster that shocked the world 25 years ago.
7 astronauts, including schoolteacher Christa McAuliffe, died when Challenger exploded shortly after takeoff from Florida.
June Scobee Rodgers, the widow of the shuttle's commander, helped set up the Challenger Center for Space Science Education.
Rodgers says the whole world saw how the astronauts died and the centre helps show how they lived.
